Devices bricking it self

[edit source]

Greetings, I believe that if the device's battery goes to low it MIGHT trigger it's "safety mecanism" and block it self as well. I don't remember dropping my payment terminal ever - BUT I did not use or charge it for a few months since most of my clients pay per IBAN bank transfer. Granted I took the terminal with me in my bag multiple times but don't remember dropping it. Luckily and also sadly (because e-waste) they replaced my terminal for free since it was still under warranty. I opened my "bricked" terminal out of curiosity after and saw the mecanisum how it was build. If I rememeber correctly there are pins/connectors that probably trigger the "brick" if disconnected/cover is removed. DCM (talk) 10:39, 25 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
