			I was mostly thinking of it since storefront shutdowns typically correlate with various games experiencing server shutdowns as well. This can range from having the multiplayer side shut down, such as what happened with the Halo games for 360 (which thank the modders, we have unofficial means to play again), or outright being unable to play games you bought, such as what happened with Stadia.

			Additionally, the shutdown of more modern storefronts as we go on, will lead to furthermore harmful actions upon the community, as more modern releases are progressively more dependent on existing servers running, such as what happened with The Crew. It is entirely possible that if the storefront for the Nintendo switch were to shut down, we could see super Mario Maker 2 become essentially bricked, or if the PS3/4 and Xbox storefronts vanish, half of LEGO Dimensions' dlc becomes entirely impossible to play without piracy, especially harmful considering dlc is reliant on physical toys.

With this being a Theme article, could you provide a brief explanation (i've got no major issue with it, just want to clarify what it's about) over the ways in which storefront shutdowns can affect the consumer?

While a storefront shutdown can be annoying, unless it affects a product a customer has bought, rather than one they intended to buy, I don't know how it should be treated. Physical and digital products are discontinued all the time, but it's not generally considered a consumer protection issue.(inability to redownload purchased games and so on would all be valid reasons for it)

Although, thinking about it, it will certainly be a good 'hub' for the various incidents relating to this... and it's not a bad thing to have a good definition for and overview of on the Wiki. Idk, really just interested in your thoughts here!
