On 12 September 2023, Unity implemented sweeping changes to the pricing model for its Unity Engine that would affect all developers using it, forcing them to either adopt Unity's per-download fee or de-list their games.
Asset store access in China (2026-03-02)
[edit | edit source]On 02 March 2026, Unity announced they would be revoking access to its Global Asset Store for all users in the Greater China Region starting on March 31st of that year, which would result in all users in that region losing access to any assets they owned from the Global Asset Store unless they downloaded them beforehand.[1]
