Native Instruments is in preliminary insolvency proceedings, a preliminary insolvency administrator has been appointed, who will take responsibility for restructuring the company and any sale of existing assets.

Background

In April 2022 Native instruments briefly^{[how long?]} became a subsidiary brand of Soundwide, a parent company created with the backing of Francisco Partners and EMH Partners.^{[citation needed (29 Jan 2026)]} They shipped negatively received updates that decreased plugin performance and increased advertisements.^{[citation needed (29 Jan 2026)]} They kept buying companies, which correlated with their decreased success.^{[citation needed (29 Jan 2026)]}

Brands Acquisition

Native Instruments has acquired two significant brands iZotope and Plugin Alliance.^{[citation needed (29 Jan 2026)]} The brands were initially merged under an umbrella brand named Soundwide, and shortly later under the Native Instruments brand name. Native Instruments got fined for this, which made them bankrupt and sell all of their products.^{[citation needed (29 Jan 2026)]}
