created this section according to the referenced talk on 38C3. It's true that apple is providing more security updates to the end users than other company's, Perhaps the paragraph should reflect that? But it's also a ungoing issue that professional spywares are available and patching those zero day attacks is really difficult because of the locked down nature like explained in the talk.

I don't understand this line under Recent Attempts to do Better, is there a grammatical error here, or do I just not know the correct terminology (if this is a terminology issue, does the Senator rule apply?)? "A battery removable with just a 9V battery in the 2024 iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus." Would Apple breaking the activation of A5 devices with IMEIs starting with 9900, preventing these from being used at all without purchasing hardware to circumvent the activation? I don't think there are great sources for these, as most are on reddit and discord kinda (sadge). I think it's a somewhat important issue, considering this can happen to other devices, like what's happening to A8 (literally as of writing). thanks! -pre (im too lazy to make an account right now) 50.65.201.220 04:45, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
Some problems with the article
I just noticed that some sources being cited are just external links, rather than being used as refs, especially at the top. Please fix this! JamesTDG (talk) 11:57, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

Should AirPower really be listed in the hardware design issues category? It wasn't ever released, and it didn't really affect anyone like anything else in this list. 50.65.201.220 02:23, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
