So it all started in April 2022, when Native instruments briefly became a subsidiary brand of Soundwide, a parent company created with the backing of Francisco Partners and EMH Partners
 
From there it all went downhill, bad updates, poor performance, ads everywhere, basically doing everything to please their investors
 
Worse, they kept buying companies, seemed like they were thriving to the outsider, big shark eating "small" companies

Native Instruments has acquired two significant brands iZotope and Plugin Alliance


The brands were initially merged under an umbrella brand named Soundwide, before all being brought under the Native Instruments brand name
All of that it seems led to big fines, which made the company go bankrupt and sell all of their products
That's what happens when you get owned by a private equity
