:I've never heard of privacyguides.org until I saw it be mentioned very often here, but I am definitely inclined to remove it myself due to how often it is negatively talked about here, I'll wait around a day for any other mods to initiate a proper discussion or object, but if nothing comes, there certainly isn't harm in removing it. ::How come? Do you know the PrivacyTools.io website as well?
::It is negatively talked about more because of how laxist it is, and recommending closed source software (I will answer this with questions, do you know whats its doing? What data is it sending? Are they telling the truth from their ToS and Privacy Policy? If so, explain me this: If you use Windows or Mac, and you use only FOSS Software such as Firefox or LIbreoffice, sending a message using SimpleX. Are you really private when using FOSS software?), such as 1Pass, or Safari. Would you trust PrivacyGuides.org with such an absurd recommending? Would you really follow what it lists as approved?
::That is the harm, you just gonna need to dig deeper instead of staying in one spot (the surface level). But as you said, you gotta wait since your a admin. I understand that. [[User:Jerry468|Jerry468]] ([[User talk:Jerry468|talk]]) 18:46, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
