Background
editGlimpse LLC (known as Skylight) is a manufacturer of digital home displays and is a digital calendar service provider. Their physical product range includes the Skylight Frame (a digital photo frame) and the Skylight Calendar (a digital calendar display.)
TOS Update
editGlimpse LLC Issued an email to its customers announcing the new change. The email was sent at 3:57 PM, 2026-03-05. Consumers were given until 2026-03-06 to end their use of the site before the new terms go into effect. Consumets were given eight hours and three minutes to read the new TOS before it was legally enforcable.
The new Terms of Service include a clause which could disable hardware if updates are not installed.
"... Skylight reserves the right to make enhancements or other modifications to the Products (including via software updates) and/or Services from time to time, without materially detracting from their overall functionality. Skylight may allow or require you to download updates or patches onto your Skylight Products. Certain updates may be required to continue use of Skylight Products and Services. You consent to Skylight automatically installing available updates to Skylight Products and Services. Failure to install available updates may render Skylight Products and/or Services unusable." - Section 8 of Skylight TOS as updated March 4th
